I took over the position as GM for Orli Znojmo in the Austrian League. We have a small team and not many good players ... Marek Uram is our star. Well we will look the market for improvements

After scanning the market we made some moves. Now we are way over budget but we think that this is what we need to compete with the top teams of the league. We have 8 new players in the squad.
Miroslav Broz (24) is just signed as 3rd keeper, in case of injuries.
The 30 year old right defender Pavel Stanek (CZE) has been signed from UFA for more depth in defense. He played 53 games in the first Czech League in his life.
Next bought Karel Mosovsky for 16.000 €. With 31 years he has already some experience. He is a solid defensive forward who played 113 games for Rochester in the AHL (17 points)
Another UFA we signed as the 35 year old Jan Vodrazka. He has experience of 192 AHL games (17 points). We believe he will solidify our defense. He is a great leader.
Richard Zednik also signed with us. Although he is allready 36 years old he will be a main piece of our offense. In 579 NHL games he scored 299 points. Definetly a big star for us.
We bought another offensive key player in Jaroslav Kristek. The 32 year old czech can play all forward positions. He played only 6 NHL games but 125 games in the AHL where he scored 49 points. He is versatile and important for our team.
One more NHL veteran has signed with us. We transferred 12.000 € to Chomutov for his services. His name? Milan Kraft, 32 years old. In 207 NHL games he scored 82 points for Pittsburgh.
Finally Mlada Boleslav wanted to get rid of a top player so we transferred 28.000 € to them. Jaroslav Balastik is also 32 years old but a very strong winger. In 74 NHL games for Columbus he scored 24 points.
All in all we signed a lot of NHL experience and we believe that this is enough to lead us deep in the playoffs

1st of january ... the league is very close and we are on 5th place with 30 points. Everything still open, just Olympia Lubiana looks a little bit too weak to compete.

Points-wise Jaroslav Balastik is the 2nd best player in the league. All in all our offense is competitive but we are considerably weak in defense as we have conceded more goals as anyone in the league but Lubiana.

One very interesting point from outside of our country comes out of the World Junior League. Djurgarden J20 leads the league with 30 wins in 30 games so far. Pontus Aberg scored 67 points in 27 games for them.
