EHM The Blue Line

just a question, it was something i was discussing with manimal about the other day, if the DMB and DMA use 2005 version for there online play, then surely there should be some more effort going towards the 2005 version, why havent there been any real updates to the 2005 version ? if we cant play the 2007 version online because of bugs or problems in the game, and we have to use 2005 would be great to start a new league with updated rosters and new year date, would be great fun..... what do people think ?? stupot11

As far as I know, most people are on EHM 2007. It's primarily the online leagues that like to use 2005 due to 2007's deficiencies with online play. With this in mind, it's probably hard to find anyone who wants to put in the time to update a game that they, and many others, aren't playing anymore. To make matters worse, EHM isn't terribly easy to mod and edit, so it requires a lot of time and dedication.

I wouldn't worry too much at this point, though. With Franchise Hockey Manager right around the corner, we have good times ahead.

Quite simply nobody has shown an interest in making or maintaining any addons for EHM 2005 since EHM 2007 was released.

Of course we'd be happy to host any new EHM 2005 addons, but nobody has approached me / posted in the Downloads section any such addons that they have created.

I've long been interested in EHM 2005 "updates" but I haven't ever been thinking current rosters (or a CSD Patch).
I prefer the idea of either a retro database (like making the 1974 database available for EHM05) or an actual updated 2005-06 database (like the UUDB for EHM07).

For me this is the HUGE stumbling block.
The PreGame Editor for EHM05 isn't as robust as the PreGame Editor for EHM07, and EHM07 updates have taken a team of people months to do!
And neither PreGame Editor compares favourably to what can now be done with the EHM Updater! HUGE difference!

Would be a nice to know how many of us still playing EHM 2005

About FHM when everything will be cleared of bugs might be a nice way buy it and start it...but till then EHM 05 as for my opinion still one of the best hockey managers ever made

I think the only people playing 2005 are playing in the online league. Everyone else plays 2007.
