I believe someone here is on the test team. Please make sure to request "Reset Morale of all Players" option.
I just started playing OOTP baseball this year. Started a game in 1973. Had everyone throughout the league, who did not end up on the major league roster to start out, very angry. Not realistic at all.
Entered a help ticket for it and they added this "Reset Morale of all Players" in the options to zero those out. I was surprised no one had ever mentioned that before.
I really don't like their morale system. Needs a little more work I think. Sometimes it seems as if your players are all 12-year old girls.

I'll second the morale thing.... certainly didn't work very good in OOTP10 anyway.

Not sure of OOTP's exact policy on pre-orders but I'm pretty sure the baseball game is about a month before release. Of course with this being the first version it may be much harder to peg down an actual release date and that might make the pre-order timeframe change. I hope it's a month because I need to get a new PC and I'm holding out till I know when FHM will be out(if possible and my current pc doesn't blow up)

I just need to decide what I want for an OS.... I'm not sure I want win8 so I'm kinda leaning towards Win7pro 64 bit version. I have a lot of old games that are very important to me to have working...

What machine specs are you looking at? I might be able to give you a very rough idea of whether your specs are okay (based on the most recent beta) - at least with regards to RAM usage. To be honest, you should be safe with any modern spec machine. If you stick with an Intel i5 or i7 CPU, you will almost certainly be alright. I'm sure an i3 would be okay, but you get so much more power out of an i5 and i7 that it's best to stick with one of those two if your budget allows.
Regarding your OS, I'd stick with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Windows 8 is not worth it unless you have a touchscreen display. I run the beta of FHM on Win 7 Pro 64 bit no problems.

It's at least 10 years old. Bought it when I was beta testing Trainz . CPU is a P4 2.53 with 1gig of Ram. Video is a NVIDIA GeForce 6600. It certainly is getting out of date. Was intending to go with either an i5 or i7 cpu and at least 8gigs of ram and a video card with 1 gig of ram. Any testers using AMD cpu and cards? Thats the other option I'm considering.

For CPUs, if you're going with a desktop, AMD is much better bang-for-the-buck. As for Laptops, I think it's worth paying the extra dollar for an Intel processor. AMD hasn't caught up with Intel on laptop cpus nearly as much as they have with desktops. My Laptop that I'm using right now is running an AMD Radeon 6550M: works pretty well. If you're going mid-grade, AMD is fine. NVidia's midrange cards haven't progressed as rapidly as usual over the last few years. For higher higher end video cards (probably not what you're looking at), NVidia will be the way to go.

Since work has been very slow(almost non-existent) at times this last year my budget is tight. Hoping to find something around $800-1000 cdn I will probably buy local where I can get a full 5 year parts and labor for $60 extra. It's where my wife gets all her business computers and such so I feel comfortable with them. AMD would be somewhat cheaper but I've always had intel till now. Hope to get something by my Bday in February

That shows that you're old Ceebee!

You can have a nice machine now for only 700-800 bucks. Especially for running a small game like FHM.

You'll be absolutely fine in that case. I currently have a 2ghz i7 quad (an i7-2630QM to be precise) with 6gb RAM and NVidia GT555M (3gb video RAM) and I breeze through the game. With regards to Intel CPUs, make sure if you buy one that the CPU has a four digit model number and not a three digit number (eg Core i7-500 = three digits and Core i7-2100 = four digits). I posted a little bit about the reason for this here:

I have no idea whether any testers are using AMD components, but I certainly haven't seen any bug reports about them.
To be honest, any GPU you go for will be fine with FHM. I have dual GPUs in my laptop and FHM runs without a problem on my lesser-powered Intel HD Graphics 3000 GPU.
With regards to RAM, I can't get the latest beta up and running right now (long story), but I'm almost certain 4gb will be more than enough to run the game (OOTP 13 only needs 512mb!!). 4gb is really the minimum you should have with Win 64 bit because otherwise you won't really be taking advantage of the whole 64 bit thing.

OOTP are not graphics intensive games, so pretty much any machine that is running today can handle it.
I'm still running with a machine I built about 8 years ago. Only have XP, with a Pentium 4 (2.8GHz). Upgraded the video card and put 4 gigs of ram in it since then of course. It runs OOTP13 Baseball just fine.
About the only thing I'd say to the guy with 1 gig of RAM is you probably want to max that out. RAM is cheap.

Was a bit surprised by the screenies. I had feared a less-clean look.
Truthfully though, I hope there's a demo to try first. It's all about gameplay and how streamlined it all is.

RAM-wise, if you can run EHM you *should* be okay.

The similarities between FHM interface and ootp is quite apparent. That is a great thing.
I'm not a fan of how high those ratings are though. It appears from that one screen that all the players in the NHL will be 4 and 5 stars when i think a 4 star player should be a top liner and a 5 a star. 2-3 a depth guy. But with this the overall rating would have to change based on league.
Obviously i can't fully judge the rating system by one prebeta screen as theres not enough merit to go on but it has me somewhat worried.
I have that same problem with EAs NHL series. Where an 82 is a league wide average i belive it should be mid to late 50s.
