Are goals at times waved off?

Hi guys, I came across an interesting occurrence today. It happened between a playoff game between the Washington Capitals and the Montreal Canadiens in game 3 in EHM 07.
In the first half of the overtime period, Yannick Weber scored for the Canadiens to win the game. I was going through the play by play, and I noticed something strange, a few minutes before Weber had scored, Brooks Laich scored as well, but for some reason the goal didn't count nor did it say whether or not the goal was waved off.
Was this a glitch or are goals at times waved off in this game? This is actually the first time I've come across this.
