Just started working on a new hockey simulator tentatively called Historical Hockey Simulator (HHS).
Actually have a basic match engine up and running after a couple of evenings of programming.
The idea of this simulator is to actually focus on the first 50 years of hockey beginning all the way back to the very first game ever recorded in 1875, and carrying on until 1926... generally an era of hockey overlooked by most, if not all simulators.

Unique to this era was,
- seven man hockey (with the rover being the 7th position).
- interleague cup challenges (which ended after 1926)
- first Olympic games to include hockey (1920)

Currently testing the match engine with the historic cup challenge of 1905 between the Ottawa Silver Seven and the Dawson City Nuggets and already getting some very consistent results using a very simple (but scalable) player rating system.
More to follow...

Of course you will...you were the only one alive back then. :-D Really....you should ask Cee Bee for help. He was personal friends with almost half the players back in 1899.
