No Franchise Hockey Manager forum on TBL would be complete without the obligatory how's it going in FHM thread! The EHM 2007 one has been going since 6 and a half years now and so let's see how long we can keep this one going!

I just started a game as a Commisioner, Joe Average a unknown 30 year old Canadian has just invaded the NHL office and threw Bettman out through the back door.

I plan on doing a league realignment for the 2014/2015 season and maybe add two more teams in 2020/2021.

Playing with my Sharks and I've had a bad start with 6-7-0

I'am currently 6th in the EIHL with the Steelers record is 2-3-1

Getting widdled off though because I don't know how to give contracts to excisting players on my team

Also I can only offer 10 year contracts when I am signing free agents

This is how the league finished up in my first season



We lost in the quarter finals of the playoffs to Coventry
Steven Goertzen was the top scorer in the league with 43 points from 52 games
Belfast Giants won the play offs

Currently managing the Vancouver Canucks, the record at the moment is 13-4-1

Not a bad start considering the Canucks don't start clicking until late November, early December.

Made a few trades:

Traded away Cory Schneider to the Flyers in exchange for Braydon Coburn.

Traded away Mason Raymond + A couple draft picks to the Panthers in exchange for Kris Versteeg.

And now I'm slightly over the salary cap... :|

Gotta fix that.

Edit: Just got hit by the injury bug, H. Sedin, Tanev, and Edler are out for at least 2 - 3 weeks.... FUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

That doesn't seem too bad standings-wise. Where did Telford and Guildford finish in the EPL?

Once they re-enable the goal scoring levels (they disabled it for stability reasons IIRC) and/or set them correctly in game, those scoring levels will be a lot better.

I didn't see and the league historys aren't adding for the UK leagues on this

I've had it!! I'm moving Phoenix to Hamilton already There, that wasn't so hard Bettman! Joe Average has my vote for next commish.

Didn't even knew that you could be commish! Can you do like EHM and take over a team with that other job?

I think I'm gonna have fun reading all your stories here. I'm not planning to by the beta though but just by reading the few posts here I'm already starting to feel the hype.

Yes because it's only a beta at this stage. I don't think they've announced whether the final game will include a demo version (I'd be surprised if it didn't).

Well downloaded and started a game with Devils, first week I lose Brodeur to a knee injury (Out 10 months bye bye his season), then 3 days before start of season I lose Moose for a couple of days. This is going to end badly. In talks with Vancouver now for a goalie.

There's a bug with injuries at the moment. If you're running the game in commissioner mode, it is possible to reduce or disable injuries.

Well that explains it I guess, I managed to get Schneider in from Vancouver, so not too worried at the moment, turned on Comish mode, reduced injuries a bit and will now carry on.

I simmed through a season playing as the Blackhawks. Won the Western Conference during the season, and the Conference Final but lost to NYR in 5 games in the Stanley Cup. Seabrook won the Norris, Malkin the Art Ross, Michael Ryder the Rocket Richard. Player scoring didn't seem to be particularly high (I think Malkin finished with 80ish).

The amount of injuries is just ridiulous though! I toned them down but I think they could be toned down a lot more. Only had the one crash (as above) so it seems quite stable as well!
