Please note that as the game is still in a beta stage and the database is still in development, team names are liable to change. For this reason, there is every chance that following a beta release, team names may have changed and so certain team/league logo filenames may need to be updated.

Owing to the breadth of teams covered (and the discrepancies between different sites regarding which logos various teams had at different points in time) there is every chance that there may be one or two mistakes in this pack. If anybody finds any missing or incorrect logos then please let me know.

Please note that each time you create a new saved game, the team and league logos are added to your saved game. So if you want to update the logos for a particular saved game, you must add the logos not only to the standard FHM folder but also to the folders of each of your saved games. The instructions below explain how to do this.

Note that as of FHM Beta v0.9.4 it is not possible to have historic league logos which change year on year. For this reason, the league logos included in this pack will not appear in game. However, I have logged this as a feature request with OOTP in the hope that the league logos included will one day function in the same way as the team logos. In the meantime, if you remove the year from the file name of the league logo, it should appear in game fine.

The logos work with several exceptions that I've noticed so far. Game is 1976 and the Canucks logo is the modern Orca logo but the other teams seem to have older type logos. Also the NHL logo is not showing up at all. Probably a date thing but I really am not sure how that all is supposed to work just yet. The team logo's sure do look pretty cool though. By the way, this is a game save which I added the logos to... I'll try a new start and see if the problem exists or not.

Started a new 1976 game and the Canuck (rink logo) shows up properly. However the NHL logo does not show. No biggie since things will no doubt be changing with new databases.

Is the Canucks logo all okay now? I'm not sure what the issue would be as I've set up the correct logo for 1970/71 - 77/78 (the blue and green rink one).

The game doesn't seem to have a historic league logo function like it does for the team logos (i.e. a function that allows the correct logo to appear each season). I logged a feature request earlier today for this to be implemented. In the meantime, if you go to your logo_leagues folder you can remove the underscore and year from the file name of your preferred NHL logo (i.e. rename it to national hockey league.png) - this will allow a logo to appear in game.

For some reason my game save reverted to the orca logo. I rem'd out the orca logo and it used the next newest one in line. closed the game , rem'd the next one and it did the same. Hopefully when they implement the logo/year function it will work properly
edit: checked a few more teams and its doing it for them too. Not sure if its a bug or to do with the implementation so I'll wait on it.

At present, it is just the NHL. The WHA is quite likely to be included too. My present pack includes all of those teams (but you'd need to add the pittsburgh penguins_1971.png that SharksAttack posted yesterday. So if you convert all of those logos, you should be okay.

I'll be adding the logos for the NHA, PCHA, WCHL and WHL simply for historic completeness. As far as I know, there's no suggestion that these will be incorporated into the game.

Didn't the Chicago logo change in 1964, in the pack it's 1962? And the file name is "blackhawks"? Shouldn't it be "black hawks".

And then the logo from 1985 shouldn't that be 1986? And that one named from "black hawks" to "blackhawks".
