World Championship 2013 Prediction League

Works almost like the "Playoff Prediction League". But here you'll predict the results also (Group stage) + Plus the medalists. If you want to participate in this just "copy" the spoiler part and fill in your predictions.
How points are calculated
- 1 point for the right team to win.
- 1 point per team with correct result.
- IF you get a match 100% correct you'll get 1 bonus point. Which means you can get 4 points for 1 game if 100% correct.
- Predicting a medalist correct gives you 10 points. If you get all three medalists correct you'll get 10 bonus points, which means 40 points.
I will calculate all points after each day (if nothing unusual comes up)
Predicions has to be posted before the first game starts.
COPY THE FOLLOWING AND FILL IN THE RESULTS (example: 9-6 France vs. Slovakia)
Use a "spoiler" so it doesn't take up so much space.

What's up with the weird teams you have there? " France vs. Slovakia SLOVAKIA"? And you didn't predict any games?

You want the freaking scores? Are you kidding me? Forget that. I am out. Just picked the winners in the spot next to name. Thought that would be completely obvious.
Wow. I can see why have been zero predictions other than mine. 200 games and want score for all of them. Have fun guys. I won't be bothering with this one.

Same here. Too many games to think about.
You maybe should have made week-by-week predictions
Canada or Russia for the gold. Sweden will finish fourth to whatever team the play in the looser-finals

It was a test. Well maybe we can skip this one then.
To only predict the winner in these kind of matches woudn't be that interesting. As we all know who will win in ~90% of the matches.

Maybe you can wait at least for playoffs.

A test for what? Who was interested in the World Championship? or to see if anyone would understand how it works? Not sure how anything you put in there equates to a test.
I mean asking us
What is 2x2
What is 10*4
Those are tests. What you put up was a competition that you were going to run, that would require time to deal with, and time to calculate the results...tons of it.
and no...sorry but about 50 percent of those games picking the winner is not that easy. France, Norway, Slovenia, Germany....all teams basically noone knows anything about .... all games that are winnable for either team...
Well maybe not France.
Then you have the other half ... Sweden, Canada, Russia, USA, Czech, Slovakia...where you never know (even Switzerland) what will happen.
I did not include Finland for a reason...apparently their team has about 0 NHLers this season, so may be the weakest Finnish team in a long long time. (I read that somewhere, never bothered to look it up...so may not be true.)
But yeah..totally disagree with the original posters assertion this is #1 a test, and that it is easy to pick the winners here.

A "test" to see if someone would be interested in guessing the results instead of just the winner. So now we know the next time it's useless. I would have calculated the results in Excel, wouldn't be that hard.
Yeah Finland has a pretty poor team (on paper) this year with one NHL player, Korpikoski from Phoenix. But they can always surprise.

I'm confident that they make the semifinals.
