Will there still be new roster updates for EHM after FHM is up and running?

Thank god for that! :) FHM is nowhere near ready for prime time and our only decent game to play is still EHM!!! :)

A new roster update may kill my productivity but I'm incredibly excited!

Yes, I've gotten back into EHM 07 and I forgot how nice the interface was and how deep it was. And the EHM Updater is giving me hope that I'll be able to adjust my save games too.

I'm still holding out hope for some people to crack editing the league rules in 2007. I'd like to increase the NHL 50/80 roster rules to something like 56/80 sometimes. I'd also like to figure out how to apply foreigner limits to say the NHL.

And of course hacking the league alignments would be the Holy Grail I think for 2007.

I have little-to-no faith in FHM ever getting there at this point.

This is possible - just search on the forums, there is a list of where foreigners limits are stored in the exe file somewhere, written by the hobbit (or was it me on his behalf)

Ahhh? Because I thought the best anyone could do yet was say, apply all Austrian Ertse Bank League rules to the NHL (including team #'s and other rules along with it, etc).

Did someone finally isolate a couple of these things? That'd be huge for me, my dream of making a true Super League in EHM 2007 with temas reliant mostly upon domestic players would pretty much be possible then.

EDIT: OK yeah, I missed like 3 whole pages of stuff in the thread. Those Hex values Hobbit has listed, I'm assuming those are edited in ArtMoney?

No. Edit those values in the exe using an hex editor like HxD. Then everytime you play the game you must use that exe file. You can add for example the austrian rule or the russian rule to force teams to dress some youngsters.

That's even better IMHO because using Artmoney kinda' sucks for me, especially for every time.

I totally can make separate .EXE's for different games, and am a bit more comfortable in a Hex Editor environment oddly enough. That's similar to what I already do with freeware EHM (I have like 11 different .EXE files including some I've hacked myself for different situations).

I don't own EHM or FHM and have not played either, but am looking for a good hockey league simulator. For those who've played both, do you consider FHM to be a worthy successor to EHM 2007 which was abandoned by the developer?

Not in my opinion. All these years later EHM 07 is still a far better hockey sim than FHM. FHM is improving little by little with each update but I still find it hard to sim more than a couple games without losing interest and starting up EHM instead.
