As I said I made these for personal use so wasn't going to go into a ton of detail but I figured I may as well share them.

Here is a quick overview of the rosters:

This is purely an NHL related update. I did a massive overhaul to all players contracted to or whose rights were owned by an NHL team. I also made some global adjustments based off the realism patch where I curbed agitation, dirtiness, increased sportsmanship and temperament and lowered consistency to get a more realistic feel for penalties and scoring. I also universally altered player weights to eliminate the bug where weight overwrites the hitting attribute.

The roster used the 5.3d TBL rosters as a base.

Change list:

Updated all NHL players and prospects – rosters accurate as at 1 October
Added some injuries to players who are expected to be out for a while. Injury types are not accurate but length of injury should be.
Updated 30-40 prospects for the 2014 NHL draft
Updated all NHL histories plus histories of 75% of players from the KHL, Czech league, AHL, ECHL, College, major juniors, SHL, NAL and FEL.

Attributes of NHL players and some prospects rated from watching games- NHL gamecenter subscriber - watch ~12 games per week and have also watched various AHL & junior games (especially during lockout). For attributes of other nhl prospects and minor leaguers - using various scouting reports - hockey prospectus, hockeysfuture, the hockey news and whatever else I can find.

There will be errors - some ratings are subjective, some ratings are slightly lower than they should be because the game itself will progress them naturally, a lot of ratings are based off scouting reports which may be inaccurate. I figured an average scouting report is a better guide than letting the game decide player attributes randomly.

I tried to eliminate any 0 ratings for the players I rerated but in a lot of cases it was unavoidable due to lack of info

Things I could not find a fix for –point totals generated by defensemen are purely based off how good their team is offensively. You can give a guy like Karlsson all 20s in offensive categories but unless his forwards score a ton of goals he’ll struggle to hit 40 points most years. The highest scoring defensemen normally come from teams with stacked offenses such as Detroit, Pittsburgh, Chicago etc. The bug is annoying as hell but there’s nothing that can be done about it.

Just throwing this out there, but do you guys need any help with the new roster? I'm not super useful outside of Canada but I watch a lot of Junior hockey and follow the NHL obviously. If there's anything I can do to help let me know!

I could have fixed some attributes in the swedish divsion 1 but i dont know how ( not so good with computers )

I wouldn't know about individuals to update outside of WHL but I am willing to do some basic data entry type stuff for whatever is needed, though I'm not sure how the work is currently divided. I work from home so have time

I also hope rookies have a SLIGHTLY higher starting skills than last time. I don't expect the rookies to keep a fantastic pace but before they were barely good enough for 4th line if you forced it. If they are on the main NHL roster right now their skills should reflect that.

I have a roster for the start of the 2013-14 season I made for personal use but if enough people want it I can make it available until a better update is made if someone tells me how to upload it somewhere. It's pretty much strictly an NHL only update - all rosters are as at 1 October 2013 and I did a massive overhaul of the attributes of all players affiliated with NHL clubs. I also updated the player histories of most of the major leagues.

The only issue I have had so far with the roster is a staff contract error in mid February of every year but it does not crash the game at all, it is still completely playable.

i would like the new roster because i have had to start playing fhm 2014 and i would like to play the new roster on ehm 07

your best bet would be to compress the database using winrar (you probably know this) and upload the file to here: https://mega.co.nz/

I think the staff contracts error may be due to the long contracts to the likes of Weber, Keith, Suter, Parise etc but I haven't reduced their length to see if it goes away. Considering it doesn't affect the game at all I'm not overly worried.

Just curious, is it just me or did one of these db updates drastically reduce the quality of the players in the drafts? Is it the csd patch doing it?

Because I find after the first 2 or 3 drafts, there is only really a "star" first overall every 2 or 3 drafts.

Yeah I would love to use your rosters thanks! but obviously I would switch over to TBL roster update

Future drafts are based on regens. So it depends on the quality of retired players.
