I worked hard on building the Devils up & wanted to post the team for comments. I am signing cheap FA so some might consider that cheating. Every team I play the scouting report says they are pathetic. :-p

Hey, I've also been playing with the Devils for some time now. I'm in the beginning of the 2011-2012 season and I've won 6 straight Cups. :joy: You have a pretty good team there, winning any Cups?

My line-up
Alexander Ovechkin - Evgeni Malkin - Phil Kessel
Eric Staal - Patrick Marleau - Nathan Horton
Mario Uhrik - Derek Roy - Jed Ortmeyer
Brandon Prust - Boyd Gordon - Rastislav Dej
(Brian Boyle)

Jack Johnson - Joni Pitkänen
Andrej Meszaros - Erik Johnson
Ossi Väänänen - Kevin Klein
(Jonas Ahnelöv)

Marty Brodeur/Jimmy Howard

Marleau wears the C for me. Malkin and Horton have the A's.

How they were aquired
J. Johnson: Aquired in June 2006 from the 'Canes
Kevin Klein: Aquired at the 2007 deadline from the Preds
Joni Pitkänen: Signed as an RFA to a 5-year deal in Januari 2007 (re-signed to a 2-year deal in 2011)
E. Johnson: Returned from CHL play in June 2008 (re-signed to a 2-year deal in 2010)
Kessel: Returned from CHL play in June 2008 (re-signed to a 2-year deal in 2010)
Malkin: Signed as an RFA to a 5-year deal in February 2009
Ovechkin: Signed as an RFA to a 5-year deal in March 2009 (had aquired his rights first)
Marleau: Signed as a UFA to a 2-year deal in March 2009 (team option year exercised)
Horton: Re-signed as an RFA to a 6-year deal in September 2009 (previously signed to as an RFA in August 2006)
Roy: Signed as an RFA to a 2-year deal in September 2009 (and then re-signed to a 1-year deal with a team option year)
Meszaros: Aquired in September 2009 from the Sens
Prust: Signed as a UFA to a 3-year deal in November 2009
Howard: Aquired the rights and signed him to a 4-year deal in June 2010 (he was playing in Mannheim)
Väänänen: Signed as a UFA to a 2-year contract in January 2011 (team option year exercised)
Gordon: Aquired at the 2011 deadline from the från Habs
Ortmeyer: Aquired at the 2011 deadline from the från Blues
Ahnelöv: Aquired at the 2011 deadline from the Thrashers
Staal: Signed as a UFA to a 5-year deal in June 2011 (had been a UFA since last year)

it's funny how much i struggled at first with this game, then once i won the first Cup (after finishing 8th in the conference and coming from a 3-1 deficit in the first round), winning is pretty much a constant. With the right coaching staff, i can pretty much put things on auto pilot while my team wins.

Well, if that team doesn't win over half your games every season, then something is very very wrong.

Last season the Ducks team sucked ( thats what the scouting report said) even though they had Bobby Ryan & some good rookies & they only lost something like 15 games all year & won the cup...

In my assorted Challenge games I've found it's always that first matchup that is toughest/most stressful. If I make it out of the 1st round I am confident I'll go on to take the Cup.

The worst thing to happen seems to be to face a team in the first round that has half their team hurt. Somehow thier cast of nobodies with nothing stats will run you down like a darn freight train it seems  This used to happen a lot with LA who'd be missing their top 8 forwards by the playoffs but still make the Final somehow.
