Defenseman as a Forward

Has anyone used this tactic before? I recently acquired Erik Karlsson, and I already have a star studded defensive core, so I made him my third line RW, while still playing top PP minutes on the point, and he's fairing really well with over a point per game so far!
Was just curious if anyone else had a story they wanted to share!?!

I do this in theory. I normally just let my coach do the lines and whatnot, but if it were up to me, I usually have my best offensive defencmen play the win on the powerplay while the heaviest shot, usually a forward) and the best puck moving defence play the points. I like playing the umbrella, and having a strong hand winger on the other wing gives me 3 strong shooting options, and some nice passing plays

I moved one of my defensemen to the wing on the PP, he had a heavy shot, and was the only right handed player so he played LW. I had him shoot, and shoot heavily. Over his career, and up until that point, he averaged 8-10 goals a season, but the year he played LW on the PP he had 21; 16 powerplay goals.
