The Phoenix Coyotes have announced that they have folded, prior to the 2013-14 NHL Season. Commissioner Gary Bettman has announced that Dynamo Moscow, formerly of the KHL, will join the NHL as part of the Southeast Division. Colorado will join the Pacific, Minnesota the Northwest, Detroit the Central and Philadelphia the Atlantic (pretty well the way it was before). Formerly extinct Dynamo Riga jump back into the KHL to replace Moscow's departure.
The Moscow roster will stay in tact, while all players and staff contracted to the Coyotes become free agents. Any that were playing in the minors are eligible to stay on that team, which most dd. Also, all players who's rights were owned by Phoenix, are also free agents.
More to come!
