EHM The Blue Line

When I want to run the game, it opens the screen with trial, purchase, buy etc... with I click on the trial, it says:

No restrictions - at least one of the days, executions or hour must be restricted 15

I dont understand the problem


MODERATOR NOTE:
This error message seems to be a fairly commonly reported issue by users. My understanding is that it relates to the eLicense protection which for some reason is unable to function in certain circumstances. This appears to be a solution in most cases:

1. Download and install msvcr71.dll. Installation is very simple - it's just a case of downloading the file and placing it within a couple of system folders. Full instructions can be found here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 117&t=8700

2. Try loading EHM. You might find that step #1 solves it.

3. Uninstall EHM and delete its folder - and then reinstall EHM. Try running the game, but make sure you use Run as Admin (To enable administrator privileges, right-click on the ehm2007. exe file -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Tick the box entitled "Run this program as an administrator.")

I cannot guarantee that the above solution will definitely work, but it does appear to be the only solution we have identified so far.

didn't fix mine.

Try this way:
1) Go to the Windows Start menu
2)Click Run
3)Type cmd-A black sheet is going to open.
4)write regsvr32 press enter and aftermsvcr71.dll and enter

If it don't work Print screen the page plz.

I have Windows XP, with SP3 installed.

I'm getting this same error:

What location do I want to type that at?

Mine comes up as C:\Documents and Settings\"my name">

I've tried changing the directory to C:\.

So I've searched around the forum for my issue.

Seems others have this same problem.

But I haven't found an answer yet.

Do you have any firewall or antivirus scanner running? Try disabling them. A very common cause of problems is the firewall/antivirus wrongly thinking that the eLicense DLC system used by EHM is a virus.

All I did was uninstall/re-install and now it's working.

I did have that .dll file before, maybe simply "updating" it first, then installing the game is all it needed. Who knows.

Okay as one mentionned in the link you sent me. Placing the msvcr71.dll file prior to installing the game is what appears to be the solution.

I've been playing this game for years, and I got a new laptop and am trying to install it however every time I try to run the game, I get the following error:

"No Restrictions - at least one of the days, executions or hours must be restricted
15"

I have no clue what this means, I've scoured the internet and these forums and I haven't found any substantial help. I've updated, and I'm running windows 8.1. Any help would be appreciated.

Try running in administrator mode if you have not already
