Rangers vs Habs: If the Habs can win a few on the road then they will make it a hard series for the Rangers. Habs in 7
Capitals vs Isles: Caps are solidly built and should be able to overcome the talented Isles. Capitals in 6
Leafs vs Devils: Leafs are very good but it will be depend on how well their goalie performs. Devils will be a handful for them. Leafs in 7
Flyers vs Panthers: Panthers will have to be pretty much healthy to take on the Flyers. Big question for the Flyers will be whether Wesley is ready. Panthers in 7

West
Wild vs Sharks: Sharks will give it their best shot but the Wild are too talented. Wild in 5
Blues vs Hawks: If Wil can coach then this series will go to the Blues earlier, if not then it well extend a little longer. Blues in 6
Kings vs Stars: Kings are very talented but have taken a little dip as of late, while the Stars need their GM to coach to have a chance in this series. Kings in 5
Oils vs Nucks: Nucks are supposed to be in a rebuilding mode so Oils should take this one going away. Oils in 5

Rags over Habs in 4. NYR just too good.
Leafs over Devils in 7. Good series, Hamel is a star.
Flyers over panthers in 6. Best Flyers team in a long time.

Wild over the Sharks in 4. Too much talent in Minny, but seriously a great season for SJS.
Blues in 5. Blues are well balanced.
Kings over Stars in 4. One of the better teams in the league will breeze by the Stars in round 1.
Oil over Nucks in 5. Nucks sold at the deadline, Oils boast alot of star power

Playoff Predictions - Round 1

Ranger vs Habs -- Rangers in ?? -- The Rangers have added enough firepower to beat the Habs, but I'm not sure how many games it will take
Caps vs Isles -- Isles in 7 -- The Islanders have some serious firepower that will shine in the playoffs, and I don't think that the Caps can muster much offense past St. Pierre's line
Leafs vs Devils -- Devils in 7 -- Hamel shows up to play against the top teams in the league, this one will go the distance
Flyers vs Panthers -- Flyers in 7 -- I think the Panthers will have a good series, but it won't be enough to beat a healthy Philly squad

Wild vs Sharks -- Wild in 5 -- The Sharks will steal one game, but the Wild are just too good
Blues vs Hawks -- Blues in 5 -- Not sure if the Hawks GM can match the tactics of the Blues GM
Kings vs Stars -- Kings in 5 -- Defending Stanley Cup champs ended the season on a bit of a down turn, but they will beat the Stars in the opening round
Oils vs Nucks -- Oilers in 6 -- Claffey-Eremin combo will propel them to the next round

East
Rangers vs Habs: Rangers in 7 - Habs GM drops down to two lines for most of the series and forces Rags to the brink.
Capitals vs Isles: Isles in 6 - Isles lost a big piece with Duguay going down but there's enough talent there to have a very good top 6.
Leafs vs Devils: Devils in 7 - Hamel is the difference
Flyers vs Panthers: Flyers in 5 - Flyers have every incentive to wrap this series up in a hurry!

West
Wild vs Sharks: Wild in 5 - Wild have been dominant from start to finish this year!
Blues vs Hawks: Blues in 6 - Plucky Hawks won't give in early
Kings vs Stars: Kings in 7 - Stars have been playing lights out, home ice advantage may be huge
Oils vs Nucks: Oilers in 5 - too many injuries for the Nucks to compete.
