About
This is a 1998/99 roster update for Eastside Hockey Manager. It features historical players for many North American leagues and European elite leagues. This requires EHM version 1.5 beta or higher.

The database is no longer "NHL centric" but is now truly a worldwide database! The database features authentic teams, players and staff from the NHL, AHL, ECHL, Major Junior and European/Russian Leagues as well! The database no longer includes any modern players/staff and a huge amount of detail has been added to the historical players.

The database includes player histories and authentic future prospects from 1998 up to the present!. In addition to the historical players from North American Leagues there are also historical players for European elite leagues including Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland (+2 lower leagues), France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden (+2 lower leagues), Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Teams in most leagues were reviewed and correct 1998 affiliations have been set. The staff are correct/historical for the NHL and Major Junior. THOUSANDS of players have been edited (e.g. player roles, CA/PA and attributes)! More details here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 16&t=13516

Version 1.1 was the final version developed by the original authors CJ and Nino33.

Version 1.2 includes additional work by CJ on prospects, etc before CJ decided to cease working on the database. He very kindly shared this previously unreleased database with me so that I could continue work on it and release it to the public. My initial work for version 1.2 is to introduce correct league structures and scheduling for virtually all playable leagues and add two new playable leagues (the British ISL and British BNL).

There is an "underdatabase" of over 20,000 players and staff that has already been added (from a blank 1998 database, and Add all possible players/staff/juniors was selected, and then the EHM Assistant was used to export this database.....this database was then edited specifically for use with the 1998 database and then imported into the 1998 database for use as the "underdatabase" that is needed to give EHM it's depth). So there is no need to add players or staff to the 1998 database!

The table below sets out the current status of each playable league in the database. As indicated below, finance data (and trade rules) remain using the default 2006/07 settings from EHM 2007. I will take a look at these in the future and once I have added some additional playable leagues. Any feedback on rules and finances would in particular be very gratefully received.

While there is more to do, an enormous amount of work has been put in and this is IMO the best retro EHM database yet!

Addon Previews

A new version (version 1.0) has been released. The first post includes the new download link, links to the new addons and an updated description.

VERSION 1.1.0

Changelist:

• Fixed national teams colours.
• Moved NHL players that were in the wrong team.
• Fixed NHL draft picks belonging to other teams.
• Fixed players first/last name bug in the database (1, aaaa, aaab etc.)
• Fixed NHL Arena Average, Minimum, Maximum Attendance
• Added Arenas to teams that were missing one
• Added some new players (mostly Russians)
• there is now a Salary Cap, and NHL player salaries and team budgets have been adjusted accordingly
• NHL Club Info has been edited
• work was done on Staff Attributes (primarily AHL and Major Junior Staff)
• post 1998 Competition History and Award History has been removed (from the uneditable version)

A folder has been included within the editable version of 1.1 that includes the two files needed to correct Competition/Awards History and version v0.4.1xp4 of the Updater so those that might want to edit the database and then correct the Competition/Awards History can do so. IMPORTANT - the first step in the process is to use the current Updater to delete the Competition/Awards History & then use the older Updater and two files to input the Competition/Awards History.

• [Archibalduk] Added the following new playable leagues: (i) British (Sekonda) Ice Hockey Superleague and (ii) British National League.
