Early Access Draft, Free agency and Trade Deadline...

I have gone through one season and some items I am confused about...

1) There was no draft (unless I just did not sim far enough, did I do something wrong?
2) I was unable to:
a) Find the free agents list to sign players
b) Did I not go far enough to see prompts for re-signing... is there prompts?
c) Same as above for free agents.

Thank you all for the work you do, I am blown away by this community!

Hi, welcome to TBL.

To answer your questions, I have not played through an entire season yet in EA but the dates should be the same as 2007.

1) NHL draft is usually the last week or two of June, you can click on the World button at top of page and go to the draft
2) a) click on your name at the top of the home page, a drop down menu appears, click on scouting, this will bring up free agents lists, etc.
b) in 2007 version you would receive a message regarding a list of your players contracts expiring, not sure about this version. You can always right click on a player as well to see if their contract is expring.
c) see above

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much, I did get a message at some point in the season about my list of UFA's and RFA's, so that is in there

Thank you, I do know the dates, what I was confused by is there was no "pop-up" that brought me in to a window to draft,re-sign or free agency, so I was confused as to if I had missed something.

After the regular season ends, I just 'went on vacation' until June 1 and then prepped for the draft. S'easy.

Be careful with this. There's a day in May where you receive a message about prospects that you need to sign or you'll lose his rights.

Also make sure your team's finance is in tip top shape..

Once, upon my return from vacation, I learned that I had been fired. I suspect it either was because of financial reasons and/or because of lost of prospects. :dunno:
And make sure you don't miss the draft, I once did that also.. ](*,)
