EHM The Blue Line

Please use this thread to request player face images (ideally in the cut-out format). We have been running a logo request thread for a few years and it has been pretty popular. Just to be clear - there is no guarantee that anybody will respond to a request - it all depends on if somebody has the time and inclination.

Player face images should be in PNG format and 157px wide x 200px tall. If the head takes up the full 200px then it can look a bit cramped in-game. Most packs I have seen created by users leave the top 4px of the image blank/transparent so that the top of head isn't too close to other elements on the screen.

I am working on a full face pack for the WHL, OHL, QMJHL, NCAA etc. It will take a while, but I will upload them once I finish them. I noticed only the "star" players in the junior leagues have faces in the face packs that have been uploaded so far (i.e. McDavid, Hanifin, Strome, Eichel etc) but not the other players like Tambellini, Nanne, Fogarty (I am using these as an example since I noticed as Rangers fan these players don't have their faces in the game yet with the face pack).

If there is any preference in which order to work on these, let me know

I'd say the NCAA as we don't have anything recent there. The Canadian ones were last updated two seasons ago - I know the league changes a lot in that time, but at that's something for those leagues.

Okay. Will start with the NCAA. It's difficult to find photos of all the players and I noticed, after going through the first division of the NCAA, that not all the players in the game are with the right teams in real life, so I can't promise a 100% coverage of the NCAA

Archibald, is it an idea to host all face packs, logos etc, together in 1 place? Maybe there is some room on the server where this domain is hosted... That way we don't have to rely on cloud services like Mega, Dropbox, G Drive, OneDrive etc.

That's a very valid point. I can't say I'm a massive fan of One Drive etc either. However it frees up bandwidth for the forums - I don't think the server would have coped with the huge volume of traffic last week if the downloads were keep here too. Also, OneDrive gives us far more storage space than our sever has. It's a bit of a trade-off but I think it's the best compromise right now.

That said, I might look into hosting perhaps some of the key downloads...

Still working on it, and it's quite a big project. 6 divisions, 8 to 12 teams each, and each team has 10 to 20 players.

Getting the details is the most difficult, because NCAA teams don't show DOB on their websites. So, I have to verify this with the EHM:EA DB.

Only Bowling Green (of the teams I've done so far), in the WCHA division has players wearing hockey gear

Personally I think the first one looks the best. Where there is more shoulders in the picture, it starts to look a bit too "cut-off" down the sides. But to be honest, I think either way will be fine - I think everyone will just be grateful you have put in all of this work.

Just a head is better IMO.

By ID do you mean the system that FM uses?

EHM doesn't use player ID's for photos. All you need to do is name the photo firstname_lastname_DD_MM_YYYY the last part being the player's date of birth. The file must be in PNG form and placed into the data/pictures/players folder.
