EHM The Blue Line

I do not coach games myself...i have played the 2007 version of this game for years so I know how to set my lineup for games...but with EA I keep getting "your roster's for today's game is incomplete" lineup message before I sim a game telling me my assistants will make changes that may result in roster transactions yet when I click "yes" (because I can't find whats wrong) nothing changes on my roster..I play in the NHL - 23 players on roster, 20 players dressed all lines filled 2 goalies..I'm not quite sure why this keeps popping up. Any suggestions? Thanks

This also happened to me occasionally. Sometimes it's because I have a player injured dressed.
But on some rare occasions, I'm pretty sure my roster is fined. (20 healthy dressed players and all lines filled up correctly in tactics).

Not sure when/how the warning disappear, I think it's usually when I make a change in my roster (such as removing a player from IR)

I get this during training camp before exhibition games. I noticed that the game sends the wrong players down. I started taking control of the exhibition season games so this wouldn't happen.

This is regular season...

3 goalies is the problem. Game only want 2

I get this every game, I only have 2 goalies on the roster.

Never thought about that as I've seen teams carry 3 on their 23 man roster..I'm trying to trade one..guess I'll have to do it quick

Yeah i don't know why there is anything wrong with having 3 goalies on the roster, it shouldn't be an issue. To me it seems like a bug because the roster isn't invalid with 3 goalies

There might be other things as well but my assistant sent a goalie down when i got the invalid roster message and then I could proceed

I have no problem proceeding..I tell the game to let them make adjustments..it sims just fine to the end of the game..then when i look at the roster no changes have been made!

What league are you in? Do you have affiliates at a lower level? I had a similar issue in preseason in the WHL in EHM 07, and sometimes had to make early decisions on tryout goalies because they couldn't be sent down to the Junior B affiliate so the game was sending my contracted goalies down, and I couldn't get my No. 1 guy into an exhibition game. In EHM:EA I'm working in the ECHL with no lower affliate to send players to, and I'm having the same experience you're having. The game squawks about it, but nothing happens.

I also encounter this problem consistently for exhibition games.

The game seems to only allow two goalies to be on the NHL roster at the start of an exhibition game, rather than just checking if there are more than two goalies in the actual lineup, which is a necessary check. I believe this is a bug.

I had to send any extra goalies to my AHL team, and then bring them up again after the game. It's a little annoying if I have goalies fighting for a spot on the team, but not a huge deal.

Exact same thing happened to me. Bit of a pain when you're trying to gauge several goalies during exhibition.
