Goodbye Mambo!

It's been nearly a year since the relaunch of TBL (TBL has now been going for over two years ) and during that time we were using a Content Management System called Mambo. This provided the site with a great foundation upon which we have steadily been building on over the past year. However, the developers of Mambo have failed to keep it updated (most have moved over to another CMS called Joomla) and so now it lies prone to a number of security flaws and exploits. As a result, TBL has been hacked twice over the past few days. Thankfully nothing has been lost but we have removed Mambo so that we are not prone to any further attacks. Thus only the Forums are available online. The Downloads Section is still also available by clicking on the 'Downloads' link at the top of the page or by going to http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/dload.php

For some time now, we have been aware of the limitations of Mambo and so over the past few months we have been developing a new-look TBL whereby the Forums and the rest of the site will be integrated into one. The new design is much more customisable than the old Mambo system and so we have been able to make the site exactly how we want it. We hope to be able to unveil the new design within the next ten days.

Stay tuned and watch this space! ;)

Yup, the dance to keep us one step ahead of needs of TBL before they overwhelm us. 8-) If we hadn't been working to continue to update the site we wouldn't have been able to continue to provide for the users with a whole new files area and integrated main site on a totally new foundation program so quickly.

It won't be as seamless as we'd hoped due to our hand being forced by the recent developments but this is just another example of why the tagline says "The Blue Line Never Dies" we'll continue to grow and adapt and do everything in our power to provide you all with the best darn EHM Community we can. Count on that

I'm sure you'll all enjoy the new look; the file system is a bit of a preview 8-)
