EHM:EA- Players leaving NHL for Europe too easily

First of all, thank you to everyone who has made EHM:EA happen. I just noticed the game was made on Monday and it's already consuming almost every hour of my spare time.

I do want to say though, that having completed my first NHL Season (the obligatory "tank for McDavid" season), there's one thing that I haven't heard mentioned much here, if at all, and feel it needs to be addressed: Players giving up on the NHL to go play in Europe far too easily.

Example A: Keith Kinkaid was my starting goalie throughout my "Tank for McDavid" season. He started 56 games, and his numbers weren't too horrid, GAA a bit over 3.00. On July 3, 2015, I offer him 3 years at $1,200,000 per with the intention of keeping him as my backup. On July 7, he announces he is signing with a team in Sweden. No young prospect at his age, from the US (or Canada), who just started 56 games in his first full season, got a market value contract with the NHL team showing complete faith in him is running to Europe.

Example B: Max Rinehart does similar, and I even had Griffin and Sam on my roster through trades; so all three were in the system. He gets a market value contract on the 3rd, bolts on the 7th for Europe.

If just one of things happened, I would be more inclined to let it slide. But both happening raises a red flag. Please, developers, include a tweak on this on your to-do list as you fine tune the game to make these type of players not give up on the NHL in a week. I could understand if they bolted without a contract in August, but not when they have a market value offer from the team owning their rights, and they leave in seven days.

Which team? I tried to sign him for ages, with 5 different teams, and he won't even listen to an offer. Which is close to real life, obviously

He signed with St. Louis during April of 2018.

I've also seen this playing as a Euro team myself. It was Trevor Lewis. Now, he's not an NHL'er, but he did turn down several NHL offers and accepted mine, playing the Finnish team Espoo Blues.

Far less then what they were offered in the NHL, especially Kinkaid. I'm guessing set player role has something to do with it, possibly he was given a "core" or "key" role by the Swedish team. I offered a mere "depth" role. Still not a logical move for a young American-born player.

Exactly if they were home sick Swedes I would be okay with it but for North Americans to be going for less cash is messed up
