is it just me or do the frequency of injuries in this game seem unrealistically high, i have rarely had a normal lineup. cant go 1 game without having a player out through injury. becoming uplayable now :/

IMO there are too few injuries. Maybe it's your training? In my current season I've had to call up two players because of injuries.

Yeah, there are too few injuries, not too many... :P

I agree with those who replied: if anything, injuries need to be turned "up", not "down".

Unrealistically high?

I say injuries are unrealistically low lol.

I have hardly had any injuries so far. Maybe it will change, but the most I have had is a 10 day injury and in my 60 games only had 3. Sounds bout right to me. But early days.

i had half the squad sitting on injuries...very annoying, with default beginning training methods (did not change anything) too many on me too, with LA Kings

I've had about the normal amount of injuries.... couple os 4-6 week ones per year and a lot of short time ones. Not sure I want more

then yoou guys must be the extremly lucky ones, either that or im the opposite. i have not had a full roster since starting the game and 2 seasons in i have constantly had minimum of 2 players out with long term injuries with guys have 10 days to three weeks in between through both seasons. its getting so tedious.

This is actually quite realistic, though..

I haven't seen anything unusual so far.

I actually had a virus run through my team (Devils) around Christmas, taking out Schneider, two defencemen and a forward, with each missing up to a week staggered around this time. I think that was a very clever thing to put in the game, especially considering what was happening in the NHL in real life earlier in the year.

Or maybe you are just having a bad run. That happens. This year Vancouver Canucks in real life at the same time had

3 of top 4 dmen out
2 of top 3 centres out
#1 goalie out
2 wingers out. one of whom was playing in top 6 at the time.

Injuries happen...maybe you have horrible trainers. Maybe your coaches on default setting are evil and mean. Maybe just maybe it has nothing to do with EHM EA when everyone else is reporting either too few injuries or just about right. But nah....your game is bad and lots of injuries...and we would know nothing having never played this game before. :-D

I think there is just an unrealistic expectations of amount of injuries. 2 players out with injuries on average is pretty much the norm and that is a lucky team...

you may be under-training your guys. Think of it like you stepping on the ice with professionals IRL without even working out to get your stamina up, youd get killed! LOL.

I had an injury here and an injury there with my Habs. (Carey Price actually got injured three times for a week at a time which wasnt all that bad.) Even in EHM: 07 I didn't get a whole ton of injuries, usually by following this model:

August 15th:

General -> All medium except for Conditioning and Skating.

End of Training Camp:

Designated training -> For my skaters this is all intense except for goaltending. For goalies it is all intense except for tactics shooting which is none, and offensive and defensive training which I set to medium (I find with this my goalies still never drop below 95% conditioning, ever). I also designate by position. So LW is taught the LW position, C is taught the center position and so on, so forth.

GENERAL RULE OF THUMB: Whenever any player drops below 90% conditioning, throw them into resting for a couple of days. If you set general training to 50% and the PP and PK training to 25% each, I find this never really happens. Only with older guys, or guys with lower stamina. (Guys with 11 stamina in EA for me weren't dropping below 90 all season.)

If you do it properly and build up to an intense regime through good conditioning training after August 15th, your guys wont grumble much and I find this type of a regime creates a really tight locker room atmosphere (all my guys rave about the locker room atmosphere...sometimes even when I am at the wheel of a losing team)

During the playoffs:

I always drop everyone back to my general regime, where everything is medium except for conditioning and skating. During the playoffs I drop skating to medium. You will be playing games every 2nd night, so this will keep guys refreshed and they wont be dead by game 7. Keeping your guys fresh in the OFFs is key because its intense hockey. If I sweep or if I have a break of more than two or three days between series, I will go back to my designated intensive training. But I put them back on general a day before the new series.

Training is everything when it comes to injuries and if you are smart about your training, you will find injuries wont come up as often. NEVER let your guys fall below 90% conditioning and you will be fine.

That said, I did find that other than Gallagher a couple times and Price 2 or 3 times. I didnt have any injuries my first season and I just started the playoffs with my Habs. So yeah, that is a little low, youd expect at least some minor bumps here and there up and down the roster...even if it is only a few days.

thats too bad Josc. Just bad luck IMHO. Noone else reporting the injuries you are getting, so it is all I can say.

If you have guys getting injured in practice on game days you need to be looking at each player after the game as there is sometimes a note that says "potential something injury" in their screen. This happens, but because I am vigilant about checking I get fewer injuries. Also someone said rest at 90%? Too low...rest at 90 til Christmas time, then you will start getting notes after games for your top ice time players that they are tired and need a rest. This note is on screen at 95%....and they need to rest as well. I tend to rest guys at 93%.

Practice injuries have definitely picked up. I still don't have any in games though.

I have had zero practice injuries, and only a few game ones. Pushing the guys too hard likely the problem, not the game.

Probably so, I'm aggravated at how easily physical attributes decline on some guys (in their 20s) and overreact

Bad coaching and practice set up if they are declining. Need to improve experiment with that.

Hm, in my persoanl opinion you are better off without Kadri, this should make the game more playable :P.
