After the end of season in KHL Radulov signed a contract with Dallas Stars during the play offs and he immediately played for them. Is it possible or its a bug?
A few years ago this happened IRL when he signed for Nashville in April. I don't know if the new CBA prevents this or if the KHL rules have changed since then, but it's happened before and with Radulov himself.bobesft wrote:After the end of season in KHL Radulov signed a contract with Dallas Stars during the play offs and he immediately played for them. Kapanen, however, is under contract with the Pens.Duranium wrote:Kasperi Kapanen finished the season with KalPa and got recalled immediately to Wilkes-Barre and is now eligible to play for the Pens in the playoffs. So i assume it´s ok
I think it's based on when a contract's signed. I think that in real life, players signed after the Trade Deadline can't play in the playoffs. That's what happened with Turco a few years ago after he signed for Boston. In other words, Kapanen signed last year so is eligible for the Pens.Duranium wrote:Kasperi Kapanen finished the season with KalPa and got recalled immediately to Wilkes-Barre and is now eligible to play for the Pens in the playoffs. Loktionov was signed in December. But I thought foreigners are only allowed to be signed during the international trade window.batdad wrote:Stagbeetle has it right, so if these guys are coming in and playing in playoffs after being signed in April that needs to be mentioned on SI boards.
