ECHL - getting free agants

When I go to scouting then player search I use the filter to get rid of unrealistic signings but nothing appears. Is it to do with the league I am in (ECHL) or is there a way to get free agents that I haven't found yet?

AFAIK your own manager reputation also affects which players will consider signing with you, hence which ones will show up on the list. I might be wrong but with all the thousands of hours I've played it sure seems like it to me

My reputation is on good. I have managed to find players that would consider my team if I don't filter out what my assistant considers unrealistic signings.
