I have received a few reports regarding intermittent Error 500 messages appearing on the site. I believe this is an issue with the hosts rather than anything to do with the site. I am liaising with the hosts to see if this can be resolved.

In the meantime, the best thing appears to be to open the site in a new window/tab rather than trying to use the Back or Refresh buttons on your browser.

If you do encounter the error, I'd be really grateful if you could immediately post in this forum so that I can get an idea as to when this is happening (e.g. if it is happening at a specific time of day).

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I very briefly encountered the error message a moment ago.

I had quite a few just now. Both just clicking a topic or while opening a thread in a new window. Goes away when refreshing page.

I've been getting it many many times the last few days. But I login here many many times a day also.

Yeah I'm getting again too. Sounds like it's pretty constant now. I'm still awaiting a reply from the hosting company.

I haven't encountered the error message even once...

Still no response from the hosts, but I've set up error logging which will hopefully log what is going on (an Error 500 is a very nondescript error). It's hard to tell whether the log is set up correctly as it's not that straightforward, so I'd be grateful for further reports in this thread of the error (and then I can see whether they have been successfully logged).

I'm trying to post that I'm getting a steady flow of them, but having a bit of a hard time trying to get past the error!

I have the error message a lot at this very moment. It took me some time to log in and to reply to this post.

Just got the error message like 10+ times in the last couple minutes...

I was just getting the error again.

Got about 50 of them a minute ago.

Had a long time of no errors, but now getting it again...

Lots of errors tonight. I just keep refreshing until it comes good. Sometimes takes like 10 refreshes to get it going... like an old lawn mower maybe??

Insane amounts of errors right now for me, can barely navigate the site at all.

Had a lot of errors trying to access the forums and got the errors while trying to post this

Experienced a few dozen of them.
