What is Roster freeze? a.k.a. OMG this guy again

Hi guys, again me. Im 1 day before roster freeze. But im not sure, i try to found it, but i couldnt, if is like a trade deadline or freeze my roster for sometime and i cant call players or send them to one of my affiliate teams?

Roster freeze is just a temporary period where you cannot make any trades. You can recall players from your affiliate but may not be able to send certain players down to your affiliate. There is one in the middle of the season around the holidays and a sort of one (no trades) in between the trade deadline (late feb/early march) and the draft in late June
