Is there a way to up the salary cap?

I wat to up the salary cap for Elite League teams to make things a bit better for me personally. I would like to see a few more 'stars' playing in the UK, but can't seem to find an option in either the Pregame of Save Game editor to do this...

Unfortunately there's no way to do this. It's one of those "set-in-stone" things within the code.

Minstrel might be able to tell you more, but you could move some stars over from the NHL using extra_config.cfg (located in NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database\). Open the file with something like Notepad. Make a backup of the file before you edit it.

You can then set up transfers to take place before the date the game starts:

# Future transfers
# "FUTURE_TRANSFER" "first name "second name" "current team name" "new team name" date fee wage contract_length

I not sure how it'll like transferring from the NHL to the EIHL but it's worth a try.

The salary cap actually can be changed, if you're proficient with ArtMoney. I've tested it with EHM 2007 and was able to alter the NHL's cap to my own specifications.
