Manchester Storm has no players in this update, will these be added in 8.1?

Looks like there's an issue with the DB. Neither Manchester nor Hull's players are appearing in the game (although they're contracted in the DB). It'll be because the teams are defunct. I'll try to fix it now...

Thanks for pointing this out.

Hi Archibald, a couple of small things.
Stuart Kerr is listed with both Solway's NIHL and SNL teams. However the NIHL one is a Canadian player. Kerr is also now on a two way with Braehead whom he has iced for so should be contracted to Solway but playing for Braehead Clan.
All the Kirkcaldy Kestrels players are contracted to the wrong Kirkcaldy Kestrels team, for some reason there is two teams in the database and the one they're at isn't part of the in game SNL. Also all date of births for these guys are missing.

That Kerr one is very annoying. I fixed it over the summer but clearly I've somehow undone it...

I'll make sure both issues are fixed for v8.1.
Keep all of the reports coming. Hopefully we can make all of the necessary changes for the next release.

I've said I'll look at any issues in the database in respect to club colours for the British leagues. Am already aware of changes being needed for MK Lightning, MK Thunder and Oxford City Stars. Any other users noticed that their team colours are incorrect please feel free to post here, otherwise I'm doing my best with club-websites and google image search!

FYI I updated the EIHL and EPL colours last summer (before the MK jersey change!) and so hopefully they're largely correct. I think it'll be the NIHL where there will be a lot of out of date data.

Andrew McKinney's nationalities are the wrong way round. He should have British as his primary nationality and Canadian secondary.

A few of the NIHL teams don't have an arena set. Its showing as unknown. Sutton Sting is one of them. Sheffield Senators too I believe.

Cheers Gareth. I noticed this the other day myself and was going to raise it with Arch and Calv. I assume you're going off the latest database? And just to check both the teams you mention play out of iceSheffield don't they?

The EIHL Finals are held at the MEN Arena in Manchester?

In the NIHL North 2 Blackburn Hawks are set as Semi-Pro and spend a decent amount on players (could be correct?)
Cardiff Devils have 'moving to BLANK' as their new arena on the info tab.

Don't think the 'moving to BLANK' is a data issue. I've added arena-moves in my own personal game for Manchester Phoenix and Bristol and both have that displayed. However on the date they do move to the correct stadiums in my games.

Regarding this point: I think that is intentional. some of the 'bigger' NIHL sides are set as Semi-pro to reflect they have a playing budget (Chelmsford and Invicta are two others off the top of my head).
Most of the other teams are 'Amateur' to reflect the fact they don't pay wages, the sort of teams where guys generally turn out for expenses-only?
This is something I look at in my own games and edit. If you think teams are spending unrealistically at that level it may be that their reputation needs to be reduced as I think this is the critical factor that affects the playing budget.

Is it intended that all Irish teams in the database are based in United Kingdom?

Not sure mate?
Could be that the 'UK' setting is more of a regional one than a political one in-game? I'm not sure how the country settings affect the game-play.
I know of one issue where when scouting in the lower UK leagues you can 'not have the resources' to scout a player individually in an Eastern-European league. It could be that if the game thinks there are too many different 'countries' in our little group of islands then you could end up in the situation where UK teams couldn't send scouts to Ireland as the game thinks it's too far away?

Teams from the Republic of Ireland shouldn't be counted as Great Britain. Northern Irish teams should be. It relates to the fact that, unlike other national teams, we have Team GB which covers four nations encompassing the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Have you come across Republic of Ireland teams being classed as British? If so, let me know and we can fix it for next season's DB.

Yes. All teams in the Irish league (I cannot recall the name right now) are set as British. 'Tis the league where the Dublin Rams play.

That makes sense. Not sure why I didn't realise this

Just got back into EHM after a looong time away. Not spent much time in it at all but noticed a couple of things off the bat in the hour or so I spent browsing through the game screens.
– There are duplicate Dave Whistles (ex-Cardiff/Belfast head coach), with the same birthdate and profile. I think one is called "David" and one "Dave", and one of them is unemployed while the other is at Okanagan.
– The coaching stats of coaches and player coaches in/with experience in Britain are a bit all over the place, e.g. Paul Heavey is not worth employing despite being a pretty good coach in real life. (Recognise this is a bit subjective though)
– Some of the British players seem wildly underrated. Matt Haywood, Paul Swindlehurst, Mark Richardson to name a few current/former GB players don't look that good at first glance (again, subjective!). Ben Bowns could also do with a big boost!
– I don't think EIHL teams should have affiliations with u18 teams. (E.g. Steelers with Steelhawks). In real life they just don't send down/recall players in that way and there's typically no formal agreements in place (speaking as an ex-Sheffield junior, this has been a gripe of many for years). The EPL and ENL1 and ENL2 teams should have affiliations with them, though – perhaps EPL with u18s A teams and ENL with both u18s A and B teams.
– Edinburgh's head coach is set as Jock Hay, who is really the assistant coach. I imagine this is because the player-coach can't be made player-head coach and it's a way of preventing the AI from immediately appointing a new head coach, though.
Great work to everyone involved in the DB and looking forward to getting stuck in to EHM again!
