EHM The Blue Line

I'm playing in the OHL and i've noticed that the a.i. gm hardly ever signs draft picks (each team gets to carry 4 sixteen year olds) but instead wait the full year and then sign them the following year when they could have had a season playing in the OHL.

So what ends up happening with a lot of 1st and 2nd rounders in the OHL is they get drafted, then continue to play midget, then the next year get signed to their OHL team then get drafted into the NHL...most players players 2 years in the OHL before being drafted from the OHL...is this a bug/can it be fixed??

Are the top 1st round draft picks being signed?

I just took a quick look at the 2015 OHL Priority Selection Draft, and the first 5 guys picked in the first round last year are all playing in the OHL now, but only 2 of the first 5 picked in the second round are in the OHL

Without knowing more it's hard to know if there's an issue (i.e. how many 1st/2nd rounders play immediately in the OHL IRL compared to how many in game)

Most first-round picks in the OHL play immediately, IRL

I've just simmed 5 seasons in the ohl to see if the a.i. was signing first round picks or even draft picks...

2015/2016 - 80 drafted players on rosters (version 8.1) start of simulation, every team carrying 4/16 year olds.
2016/2017 - 24 drafted players on rosters
2017/2018 - 21 drafted players on rosters
2018/2019 - 23 drafted players on rosters
2019/2020 - 16 drafted players on rosters
2020/2021 - 18 drafted players on rosters

as you can see the a.i. is not signing draft picks and waiting a full year before signing picks...when irl ohl teams always carry atleast 3/4 16 year olds.
