I don't know if they took this out or if I just can't find it but I can't seem to offer player or team option years in my contracts in 07. However, I see in the news that teams or players are exercising their options which leads me to assume that the feature is still in the game. Anybody know anything about this?

Gone. For NHL teams at least...

They are actually prohibitted under the rules of the new NHL CBA actually. I think however it is only a "can't offer them under the new agreement" thing so previous contracts with them as part of the negotiatied deal are retained.

Yeah,prohibited in the NHL,but still available in other leagues.
