ELC length and other "glitches"?

				Hi guys,
I've been playing this game on and off for about eight years, through its many iterations. I love this game and I love grinding through seasons and managing my team. I'm currently playing the most recent Steam-released EHM1 and it's a very refreshing update.
I have a question about how ELCs work in this, though. It seems that more often than not, my recent draftees are only eligible for 2-year ELCs. This is the case across the board unless I sign them IMMEDIATELY after drafting them. What gives? Most ELCs in the NHL are a 3-year minimum, and it really sucks if you have to re-sign a prospect so soon.
I've also noticed that for some reason, CHL players will randomly be ineligible to be sent back down to the CHL. Sometimes the option exists and sometimes it doesn't. I understand that with European draftees, they are usually eligible to play in the AHL right away instead of being sent back down to their respective junior team if they came over from Europe, but this happens with Canadian/NA players too. Shouldn't a player be eligible to be sent back to his junior team (to avoid burning a year of his ELC), especially more than once? Can someone outline how the game tracks this?
Finally, as the years go deeper and deeper, I have noticed that the first name of some of my players/staff will change without warning. For instance, a player name "Ben Berry" becomes "Andre Berry", and Reto Berra (a retired goaltender who I've hired as scout) has had his name changed to "Beat Berra". Anyone experience something similar?
Anyway, I appreciate this community continuing to support this game and essentially keeping the series alive. Cheers.

) the day after the draft and in the contract discussion and all the first year showed was 15-16 (ie, his draft year.....) even thou I was losing one year I went on with it because I didn't want to risk waiting for him for a full year. As soon as the game advanced the year (july I think?) the ELC changed and was still 3-years (added one in the end as it should have been all along).
