Hey does anyone know how to add another team to the NHL.

Using the database editor I managed to add the team to the NHL, they have the proper rules and schedule however the team doesn't show up in the standings page. Can someone help?

You can't add another team. You have to have the same number of teams in the NHL as in the beginning for now. Might be able to in the future but not possible right now. One way to work with it is to switch the team for another one or just edit an existing team to something else.
