How do you use the retain salary in trade option in the trade window? its just greyd out?

That's for transfer money. You can't retain salary afaik.

Would anyone else care to weigh in on this? GM's believe some players are over paid which means the mechanics are in for salary to have a weight in trade decisions, it doesnt make sense that you cant retain salary..

I've never heard of salary retention being part of trades in EHM
When you consider EHM is a niche game done by basically one guy in his spare time, it makes sense that you can't retain salary...yet; I'm sure Riz will get to it eventually

Not to be ungrateful or contrarian, as I love this game and have been playing since EHM 2005 was released and love the work Riz has done. However, this is a weak argument. As a developer Riz should be trying to implement everything he possibly can into the game to make it as realistic as possible.

I have faith he will do just that but it will take time. Retaining salary is one of many things that needs to be implemented in EHM based on todays NHL.

This is, after all, a management game right?

I keep bringing up the small (one man) team because I think people need to hear it (and even better, understand it).
I don't think the choice is "as it is, or even better"
I think the choice is "as it is, or a dead game"

IMO it's not a "weak argument" to point out it's a developer's "hobby project" done mostly in his spare time, and supported by volunteers...it's reality


I paid less than $20 for EHM and I believe it's been worth every penny

We all understand, or at least I do, that this has been a one-man project for quite a while.

The choice should ALWAYS be to make a product better, whether it is a pet/hobby project or a billion dollar venture. If Riz is not interested in improving it then why does he bother with it in the first place? I would guess his goal is to constantly improve the game, and I was just mentioning a feature that I thought would improve the game (as did the original author of this thread).

I don't get why you tend to attack people who have a different opinion on here; I have seen it numerous times in many different threads. Lighten up, it's just a game and it's just an internet message board.

- TBL went from 4000 members to 16000 members in the last year (there's a lot of new people who haven't been around like you!)

No one suggested Riz wasn't interested in improving the game (except you!)....I think you mistook this for the wishlist thread (though neither the OP nor you described it that way...that's spin you're trying to put on it now)

I didn't attack anyone, you are wrong. I completely appreciate what Riz has done with EHM. Not sure why you are so argumentative but I will let it go now and move on. Thanks for the discussion.
