I´m in my 3rd season with the NY Ilanders, and i will re-sign some of my players now but.. 3 of my big players (J. Tavares, J. Halak and J. Neal) wil not re-sign. Can someone tell me why?? I had won Stanley Cup 2 times in season 2 and 3. Why will they dont re-sogn? Had someone saw anything like that? They say "I would like to test the ree agent market"

I think the Loyalty attribute come in play. Also i think there is a certain time frame that you can sign the player. I mean by that there is a random moment in the last year of his contract that you can offer hima new contract and he will be more open to discuss and sign. If you're not in the windows of opportunity, you might simply cant sign him even though you offer him 20% more.

You'll have to check every once in a while to see if the player is disposed to negociate a new contract.

From a common sense point of view, they won 2 Stanley Cups, they want to earn more money and they are excited to test the FA market, cause they feel more valued after two cups? Seems legit to me, they should favour your offer once they are free agents, though.

with the 98-99 db, i've just won two straight cup. Teppo Numinen was requesting 3.6 millions x 4 years at the age of 34. I tried to negociate with him with no success. He then tested the market and ask 5 millions per. He then signed a 5.5 x 4 years contract.
