Winning in Winnipeg

When news broke of Kevin Cheveldayoff firing after not making the playoffs three seasons into their new beginning, people began asking whos going to replace him?
It was a return of a favorite son. Teemu Selanne was coming home, coming back to where it all began, where he had his best season. Although he never won a cup as a player in a Jets uniform. He vows that he wanted to bring a cup to the franchise.
2011-2012 Season
In their first year back in Winnipeg, it was electric, even when the teams play started dropping off, the fans never stopped showing up to arena because NHL hockey had returned to Winnipeg. In the end the Jets finished 11th place in the Eastern Conference, 8 points out of a playoff spot. Evander Kane led the team in scoring with 30 and Blake Wheeler was the team leader in points with 64. Ondrej Pavelec led the team in wins with 29.
2012-2013 Season
In the lockout year, Winnipeg came oh so close to sneaking in as the 8th but missed the playoffs by just 4 points. New York Islanders were the team that made it in at 8. Andrew Ladd was the team leader in points while Blake Wheeler was the team leader in goals. Ondrej Pavelec was the team leader in wins again.
2013-2014
In 2013-2014 the Jets were thrown into the Central Division with the Chicago Blackhawks, St.Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild and the Nashville Predators. That's a pretty hard Division to be thrown into. In the end, the Jets finished last with 84 points, 7 points out of the last wildcard spot.
As you can see it was pretty harsh to fire Chevy after that but hey, such is life in the cutthroat NHL world. Should be fun for Teemu Selanne to bring this team to glory.
