The Minor League Life

What can I say? I watched minor league hockey for 10 years while growing up. The local team came into town right around the time my small brain needed something new and it just caught on with me and had me hooked from day 1. After the local team was in our town for 10 years, it folded and I also moved as I had graduated high school and moved onto bigger and better things.
But minor league hockey always kept a small piece of my heart and interest because it's where you see some players who just love the game. They aren't getting big money contracts or even scoring tons of points every year. They spend time playing on some teams that are just average, some great, and then the bottom of the league teams. Why do they do it? Why play the sport when you aren't where you want to be possibly or making the money that you need?
It's simple, it's cause they love the game! Which brings me to playing as a Central Hockey League GM in EHM 2007. I watched that league growing up from my local team becoming part of it back in 2002 after absorbing the WPHL (Western Professional Hockey League) and I'm so grateful that they did because had they not I wouldn't have been able to grow with the sport of hockey and love it for what it is and that to me is just a beautiful game!
Although my current career inside of EHM 2007 has spanned to 9 years now. It's been a great one with taking over a first year expansion team in the Rocky Mountain Rage. I felt what better to take the reigns of a brand new team. Grow the fan base and show them what hockey is all about? Such as how it was brought to me at a very young age.
I've successfully managed to make the playoffs every year. With that being said, I've managed to bring home the Ray Miron Cup in 7 out of 9 seasons and being runner up 1 season and losing in the 2nd round in the other.
My plan from day 1 was to bring hockey to this great small town. I've done it and done it very well! I look forward to many more great seasons with the Rage as I have been given plenty of opportunities to move into the NHL with the Blackhawks, Blue Jackets, and Sharks. But my heart is in the minor leagues and it's where I plan to stay for as long as they will have me.
I'll update this soon with some screen shots of my performance thus far!
Stay tuned...
