Staff have a CA/PA just like players, and thus their Attributes (visible ingame & hidden) can change just like players

I've seen the CA/PA in the EHM assistant, but I'd be curious if anyone knew anything about how their attributes are developed - basically, I'm wondering if we have much control over their development. I'm assuming winning helps - perhaps focusing on their strengths would lead to better attribute increases or something along those lines? This one intrigues me, as I haven't been able to figure out much about it...

I'd be interested in knowing too...I myself have no idea what might affect Staff Attribute development

It seems to just grow with age, same as Positioning/Faceoffs/certain Mentals do for players. For example if you get Guy Boucher as your head coach in the 15/16 db he always gains the exact same attribute gain at the exact same age. I always use him in the NHL because of how busted his attributes are coupled with how young he is, and him playing the style I like for when I still allowed the coach to handle tactics.

In my current save where we won cups and games left right and center he gained it the same season as when I let him do tactics in my Coyotes save and we were winning a heck of a lot less at the same point in time. So seems to just be an age thing.

It's very common that coaches gain some attributes at either age 50 or 52, I don't track it closely enough to remember the exact time. But around there. When you sign a very young coach (like mid 30s) they often won't show any signs of growth until they are in their late 40s or early 50s. Since you get no scout reports on them it's quite hard to tell which ones even can grow at all. And most saves where you sign a coach that young will end (at least for me) before they hit their 50s.

Most coaches and Scouts also start declining at 60. So I personally always try and get coaches in the mid 40s to early 50s. That way you are close to a potential CA gain and far enough away from the age decline at 60.
