NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I can't believe what I am seeing right now!!! I am seeing a default rink in the 2D game engine!! And I never changed the files around to use the default files... which means... the patch replaced all my files with the default ones!! I spents hours upon hours getting my rink elements exactly how I wanted them, and now every single one of the files are gone!! And worse yet, the ones I had been using and lost were the ones I continued working on after I uploaded them here... so they were prototypes of my latest elements with more hours put into them... AHHHHHH!! ](*,) ](*,)

Always make a backup of files before applying patches :dunno:

That does suck though; you should save a copy of your working files and then drag that copy into your default folder so you always have the others to go back to as well. It's a bit of a pain admittedly but it could save you from these kind of frustrations as well.

I have a folder in my documents that is for EHM things.

I keep everything there.

It keeps me warm at night. :)

I usually do make backups before any kind of patching/updating... but I never knew SI's patches replaced this type of graphical work... especially since the new files it gave me weren't fixed/changed from the originals :dunno:

Some good news though: the hardest things I worked on(the benches, pen. boxes, and goal areas) are still on my machine from the left-over PSD files. So luckily for me, it was just a matter of going back to those templates and re-saving everything, which was still a major pain in the neck, but it's better then slaving away to create them again from scratch. And I still had to remake the lines and stuff... but again... I'd rather do them from scratch than the benches/goals/etc.

The reason it was overwritten is probably because unlike other projects these are replacements for items in the default skin graphics folder. :dunno:

Glad to hear it didn't set you back too terribly though

I had the same issue: rink elements were erased from the datas. :dunno: Hopefully, i just had to download it and install it once again, so it wasn't dramatic.
