Blank EHM 1 Database?

Was just wondering if anybody had a blank EHM 1 database or knew where I could find one? I tried using the one at http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 115&t=9924 but it is in EHM 2007 format and attempting to convert it to the EHM 1 format was unsuccessful. If not, is there any way to mass delete information in the EHM 1 database editor so that I could clear a database quickly? Using the delete item button to do it one-by-one would take far too long for it to be worth trying.

Were you using the 2006 Rule Set?
As the blank database was created before the new EHM came out, it uses the 2006 Rule Set (noted in your import_config file)

I found out that you can open old EHM databases with the new EHM editor (thought it was only EHM 1 format), unfortunately the blank DB isn't quite what I'm looking for since everything except players and most playable league info are still there and there seems to be no way to remove them with the editor.

The 2006 Rule Set is very limited in terms of "required Leagues" - only those that are playable are required; IIRC it's the NHL/AHL/ECHL, Major Junior and Sweden and Finland and that's it

All non-playable Leagues can apparently be edited/deleted as much as you want (and history can be erased too)

And playable Leagues can be edited with Archi's EHM1 once the database is imported into EHM1 form

So given the above, I'd think you should be able to create pretty much any type of database you want, with no limitations.....

Should editing/deleting data be done in the EHM 2007 Updater? I'm unable to remove teams with the EHM 2007 pre-game editor and the EHM 1 editor so I assume that I should use the 2007 updater.

The problem with this, however, is that there is no spreadsheet template for importing data such as arenas/teams/leagues and I assume trying to manually make one won't work.

Are you sure you can't make defunct the Leagues/Teams you don't want using the EHM07 Pre-Game Editor? I think you can (making them defunct essentially deletes them), and all should be fine importing the database into EHM1 as long as you didn't edit a playable League and you're using the 2006 Rule Set

I've never used the EHM07 Updater for anything other than mass editing of player/staff Attributes/Contracts (never used it for editing Leagues/Teams, always used the EHM07 Pre-Game Editor).....I've never used the EHM1 Editor at all

Teams cannot be deleted per se. You would have to make them defunct. The game expects certain teams to exist in order to import the database into EHM 1 format. Once you have imported the database into EHM 1 format, you could start deleting teams but (1) you would need to update the playable leagues accordingly (i.e. update league structures to reflect fewer teams or replace the teams with other teams) and (2) the EHM Editor does not yet support deletion.
