Salary Cap Question

I have three players in the minors but their full salary still seems to be counting against my salary cap.
They are Nick Parrish age 22 salary 725,000, Tomas Fleishmann age 22 salary 602,000 and Nicklas Grossman age 21 salary of 600,000. They show the check mark in the counts box of the salary cap.
What is going on with this?
thanks
Craig

If you are in off-season, or not through training camp yet the top 24 salaries will count. Once the season starts, it will revert to your roster, however many you have on the big club.
Welcome, and just so you know...most of this information is in other places on this forum, or on the SI site. It is also in the user manual somewhere. Take a look around and read everything. Trust me, you will learn a ton. I know I did. I had the same question when I first started with EHM 6 months ago.

First of all welcome to TBL

Glad to have you here!
Now, the first thing I can think of is that if they don't have two-way clauses in their deals their full salaries will count towards your team instead of only 15-20%.
But for reference which screen are you looking at that lists their full salaries as counting against the Cap and at what part of the year are you? The Cap is figured differently in the offseason for example. That's just one of the reasons why those screens can be fairly confusing I know.

Thanks

Good guess I am still in the preseason. I'm amazed you knew that. I'll have to take a good look around.

Heh... I actually thought of that after I hit post and edited it in

It was an educated guess since this was one thing that baffled us during testing.
The Cap gets confusing in the offseason as it reverts to tallying the average of your Top 24 contracted players. So even if you send guys with 2ways down to the AHL since their season isn't in progress you'll still see their full amounts in the Cap lists.

Hi Craig, and welcome to TBL!

Always nice to see an other user coming in.

And personnaly i always like to see an other Flames fan around here
For your cap issue, i think that it has been answered well, but it's true that it's sometimes hard to understand when you're in the off-season.
Don't hesitate to ask if you have other questions, we'll do our best to solve your problem(s)
