Have been playing for years and using the editor as well.
Got a new computer (ironically, one with more memory) and started a new game using tbl9.5 rosters
Was playing for a few weeks and decided to use the editor
Saved it with a different name and got: load game data unable to read in draft history error

then closed editor , reopened it, pulled up original saved game, made edits and all was good. saved under original saved game and played a few days
Then went to edit again, saved again under same game name and when i went to play it after the edits this time I got this
memory allocation failed
when I have plenty of memory

I saw one other guy had this question although nobody really answered him.

Please help as this is frustrating and i love both this game and the editor

Saved game editing is highly experimental and prone to corruption. Really, the Editor should just be used to view, rather than edit, saved games.

My suggestion is to revert to a backup prior to making any edits.

Brutha, I did. I guess I just said it differently.

I have used your saved game editor for years and made hundreds of in game edits and not once has there been an issue (btw, GREAT JOB over the years. You've helped make this into the best hockey management game ever and I for one really appreciate your work).

Could it have to do with assigning a contract to a player or rights to a UFA rather than trying to sign him in game?

To me Archi's "revert to a backup prior to making any edits" doesn't mean what you're saying at all.......to me you're saying you saved your corrupted game with a new name, but it's still corrupted, how do I fix it? & Archi's saying your corrupted edited saved game is unrecoverable (and if you've got a save from before you made any edits, revert to that)
