EHM1 Editor not working

Hi guys, i recently got the editor for EHM to use it for contracts on players as there was this glitch with teams with going over the cap and players such as Nic Dowd, Tom Sistito and Jeff Zatkoff getting contracts like 3mil per year for 4 years and there stats for the seasons are terrible and ahl level at best. Anyway my problem with the editor is that when i change a players contract what do i do? i save the editor files but it dosent load up in the game? help would be lovely thanks guys (PS Im a noob to the editor so please do step by step cheers
