EHM The Blue Line

What do you guys do to make the game harder? I'm looking for some tips. First thing i'm thinking is having an internal cap. Something around 60 million and i'm not allowed to go over it. Also giving out realistic contacts. I have a pretty good grasp on what players deserve based on their play but sometimes the players in the game ask for way less than they are worth. I want to restrict myself from building a team through free agency. Maybe only can sign 1 a year. Also thinking of just being the GM and handing over the coaching duties to the AI. What do you guys to make the game more difficult?

I've always coached my teams (that's the fun of it for me) but the feedback on here I've seen is that being a 'pure' GM and leaving the coaching to your Head Coach is a lot harder.

Imagine just finding out your coach's 'style' and bringing in the players to compliment that will be a challenge (or sacking the coach and finding a Coach that will get the best out of your squad)?
