Getting more from your bottom 6

I consider myself to be competent in tactics but one thing I noticed in many of the leagues I'm in is my bottom 6 fwds don't do well, I have them matched 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 so it shouldn't be much of an issue and the players themselves are decent but they just can't score at all. I run all out offense tactics and the players are for the most part suited for them.

Ice-time issue maybe?

If you’ve got lines-matched and the opponent’s bottom-6 don’t see time then your bottom 6 won’t see much time against them?

Yeah, I always figured line matching is for defensive purposes. If you use all offensive lines, there's really no need to use line matching, I don't think... :dunno:

... also if you match your 3rd and 4th line against the opponent's 3rd and 4th, that would make them face the opponent's more defensive lines, where as your first lines will face off against more offensive lines -- better players, but more likely not as good defensively.

Well... that is at least how I'd assume the AI would compile their lines.

I prefer a good mix of scoring-, playmaking- and defensive-forwards (optional two-way) in every even-strenght line.

My bottom 6 also have a playmaker each line. Of course no superstar, but a guy who knows how to pass. That and mixing up which line goes against the opponents lines helped to get a lot more scoring out of my bottom 6.
