Game crashing when updating published Steam Workshop content

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, game crashes when attempting to update content on the Workshop, the update date changes and my change note is posted but the content itself was never uploaded.
Anyone ever experience this? Is there another way to publish to the Workshop outside of the game?
