I'm not even sure if that's the actual name of the mode but I'm just wondering of the people that have played it would you say it's easier or harder to build great teams compared to EHM. I'm getting tired of watching for an update and i'm contemplating going out and buying an Xbox with NHL 18 solely to play the Be a GM mode. Thoughts?

If the EA NHL series had the U.K. Elite League and Licenced IIHF sides I’d be singing its praises...

Difficulty-wise I think you can ‘tweak’ transaction-difficulty in the options.

As a Rangers fan it’s frustrating as certain guys (Shestyorkin and Kovalchuk) aren’t in the database as they don’t have a KHL licence.

Not a bad hockey game, but not as comprehensive as the EHM databases IMO. And really only geared to playing in the NHL.

It's pretty trivial to add players into the game though. That's what I do with kids drafted that aren't even in the game, and with KHLers.

I'd only being using it for the NHL anyway so the fact that it doesn't have other leagues doesn't bother me. I'm more or less only concerned if it's harder that EHM to build winning teams.

Wish it was as simple as downloading a few teams. I’ve added MK Lightning (to play against Cardiff and Nottingham, but took me ages!

Knownroyal83: you’ll enjoy it. You can even make your own team and do an expansion draft after Vegas get their turn.

I like it a lot. I’ve played all the NHL games for years now. And they have stayed about the same with several tweaks, the beginning of the GM can be tough you develop guys and have little cap space but if you get into it and play into season 5 the cap space opens up a lot and you can pretty much sign anyone.

If you just plan on simming games I think it’s tougher to keep your job but if you play a handful of games or parts of games it is pretty easy to develop a team and win the cup

Yes the expansion draft and build your own team expansion draft is really fun

I created the Quebec Nordiques as my 32nd NHL franchise. Took me a while to get the colouring of the jerseys and equipments, the arena and even the goal songs and stuff like that. Oh, and the play-by-play name I use is "No Dekes". Pretty obvious to me, that it's a chance for people to create the Nordiques and get a team back to Quebec.

Man, that would be so great... but Seattle seems to be the only realistic team to come.
