I've always thought that ice hockey players (and other sportsmen and women) are the knights of modern time. Instead of killing each other, they face off at the rink for the glory!
Charities like that are just another feather in their cap!

Don't Forget comedians, they do a lot (at least in Britain), like tonight comic releif is on (really quite funny) and only a fortnight before we had comic aid to raise money for the tsunami.

But they can't be knights, since they don't battle each other.
Not that they aren't important at their own job, creating laughter for the common people, like us.
