				Hi guys,
I'm working on a new card set for TBL becuase I've got some time to kill over the holidays. I have no idea when I'll finish ALL 30 teams but for now, here's the Habs players I have done. Let me know if you like them and would be interested to download them when they are done!
Cheers and Happy Holidays.

Very cool... always good to have alternate looks

Let me know if you need and help/have any questions.
EDIT: I really like your names witht he dual flags, cool font. I think your design element on the right side the bar-code like image is very cool.

I'm wondering though if they might not look better without the DOB's in the upper right, first of all since players without set DOB's use a random date so it could be wrong... but I think from a design standpoint it stands out in a way that detracts more than it adds. We stopped putting positions on ours since that's an element that is often wrong as well... or I might suggest using that in that slot.

good points Minty. I had thought about taking the DOB's out, but I didn't because that space looks empty with nothing there. Maybe I'll come up with something better!

Thanks Joe! Got a team you'd like me to start on next? I'll be going team by team for now, taking on the whole league seems too daunting at the moment!

Well being a die hard Wings fan, I would choose them, but I'm sure everyone would like to see their favorite team done. It doesn't really matter to me.

Gives you perspective on the literally thousands of cards D88 has done huh?

I always say I respect these projects so much because I've done them and know how long they take and have no desire to ever work on one again really

Just keep working on 'em though and before you know it you'll see that you're getting faster with them and making more progress than you thought you would

Habs are done, I'm going to attempt to upload the zip now. Team by team ok for now? Or should I wait until I have a larger number done?

Depends on when you'll have the next ones done I guess. If you'd have another set in the next week or two for example then wait and combo them I guess. But we known not everyone can release packs of 200+ cards every time

Alright then, wait it is. I should be able to churn out a couple of teams a week.

EDIT: I've got a sweet idea for that ugly top right corner too! I'll post 2 teams from the NE Division tomorrow.

Just a quick update...I've got cards for the whole Northeast division finished and I'll be posting them in the next couple of days. Minty and the gang are still ironing out some issues with file upload.
For those of you interested, which division would you like me to tackle next?
Cheers guys and Happy Holidays!

Okay, I was able to get these up for everyone by getting around the upload problems were are experiencing due to the server change. I updated the first post with the file screenshot to cut down on load time for people with slower connections

You can now download this file here:

Thanks a ton for getting this online Minstrel!
I'm working on a new pack featuring the Top 50 prospects from Hockey'sFuture.com. After that, I'll start on whichever division gets the most votes in this thread. So far it's the central

Enjoy the cards everyone!
Cheers.

				They look good

Some of you guys doing the card style pictures should try to get jobs for the manufacturers of such cards. They are really great work.
I'm just wondering, gamewise, why have the team logo in the corner? Players will quickly move around and the logo won't make much sense anymore. It would be cool if there was a way to change it automatically when a player moves, but that might be an idea for SI.

Hi ElQuapo,
Thanks for the compliment!
RE: the logo in the corner - I originally had the players DOB in that right corner but decided to remove it after talking with Minty. I stuck the team logo in that corner basically because there wasn't anything else I could think of to take up the space. I agree though that the logos won't make sense after player movement. Any suggestions for something to replace it?
Cheers.

As I'd mentioned it's tough to find a good element for that area really so I kind of like the team logos, even if they will eventually be outdated because then at that time so are the pictures themselves that show the players in their current jerseys.

So having the logo there is a cool design element I think and it's hard to think of another unchanging element to use in its place really

But again, great work on these Senor 57

Maybe you could put the flag up there in bigger size, and then have two small pucks (or gloves for netminders) down where the flags are now? Don't know how that would look, but just an idea

Gracias Minstrel! Now when it's going to get really confusing: There are some players that I couldn't find photos of in their current unis. For example, if Chistov got traded to ATL in-game he'd be playing for Atlanta, have a BOS logo on his player card and be wearing a Ducks jersey in the photo! Ah well, not much I can do about that I suppose.

I like that idea...I'll think about it for a future pack. Speaking of which, what's your vote for next NHL division?

If you need a great 'puck' source I have the one I used to create our banner here, I don't think it's possible to find a better source image really:
High Resolution Puck
And if you need sources for larger flag images here's the site I used to compile the flag banners present in the template:
World Flags

I wanted to mention that these are also great as alternate looks for player news items. All you have to do to use these as news items is create a 'players' folder inside your 'news' folder and add these cards there. Then when you get player news you'll get these images instead of the default player pictures. So if you like this look but still want to keep your profile pics in another style you can do that

Of course you could if you prefer to use face pictures for example use the TBL Style cards as news images in the same manner

Anyone using these in game yet? I'm just wondering how people think they look in the context of the game.
Cheers all.

I think they look great: I'm using them as my player news item images like I mentioned above. The one thing I noticed though is that I think you might want to consider making the right and left sides of your name area black, as you have a few pixels of white that stick out in the bottom right and left corners from underneath the flags
