What's the difference between an amateur scout and a professional scout? I see every NHL team has more 'amateur' scouts than professional ones... or does 'amateur' simply means they are scouting players that are consider 'amateur' players while professional scouts scout for 'professional' hockey players?

Amateur scouts scout prospects while professional scouts scout other NHL (and possibly AHL...) teams.
