Fixing Low Morale?

Just wondering if anyone has some basic tips and tricks on dealing with low-morale players?

Note that the specific case at the moment is goaltending (Frederik Andersen, to be specific), I'm in the middle of December with an average backup, and I've already tried to both ramp up his training and rest him, and neither has worked. He's been low-morale for 2 weeks now and he's also actually playing poorly recently, so...yeah. Everyone else is "OK" or "Good" so it's not some sort of contagious thing that has hit him.

Thanks for any :help:

My understanding is that there's all sorts of things that impact morale. Such as ice time compared to the player status you've given them (ie you set someone as a 'core' player but then they only get 6 mins a night on the 4th line). Also I think that the players morale defaults a little on the low side, you can be winning with players getting good ice time and lots of points and their morale is still only ok.

One thing I've been meaning to test, and you could try, is putting your team in resting/no practice for a couple of days in a row. A little while ago I set my team to resting after a stretch of 3 games in 3 nights (playing in the OHL) and then forgot to switch them back to regular practice for a few days, so they basically had 3-4 days off. I noticed that all my players seemed to have good or very good morale afterwards. I'm not sure what their level was beforehand so it's possible it wasn't connected, although I almost never have so many players with good/very good morale!
